Why Study in Canada ?

Education is one of the highest priorities for the Canadian government. Canada is a highly developed country and offers one of the highest qualities of education across the globe. The education system in Canada encompasses both publicly-funded and private schools, including community colleges/ technical institutes, career colleges, language schools, secondary schools, summer camps, universities, and university colleges.

Canada has a strong and well-funded system of public education, largely managed provincially. Consequently, some aspects of the education system can vary between provinces. However, as education is overseen by the federal government, the standard of education remains consistently high throughout the country.

Canada has a large selection of universities and university colleges located in both urban and rural settings in every region of the country. Degrees from Canadian universities are considered to be equivalent to those from American and other Commonwealth universities. As Canada has two official languages - English and French - an international student can take a degree either at an English language or French-language institution. Some universities offer instruction in both languages.

A university college offers university degrees as well as college diplomas and certificate programs. Students can expect to find a wide range of program choices at university colleges, including English as a Second Language (ESL) program. Students intending to acquire a degree at a university can complete their first two years of study at a community college or university college and earn credits.
