Entry Requirements : • Require Overall 65% and above from from listed boards .(The All Indian Senior School Certificate awarded by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), or The Indian School Certificate (ISC) awarded by the Indian Council for School Examinations (ICSE), or a recognised Indian State Education Board, such as the West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra and Karnataka Education Boards. • Require Overall 60% and above from other boards • Where a specific subject is required for entry to the degree programme, 58% must be achieved in this subject • Pre-University Certificate, Government of Karnataka can be considered – send to tutor – evidence from Govind included in entry requirements folder • 3% margin to be considered by UCLan staff based on reputation of institution, work experience etc • Also 65% and above in English in Standard XII (65% average grade in Year 11 and Year 12). • Also Require 60% and above in English and Maths in Standard X. • In addition to clearly demonstrating how they will meet the academic requirements of the course, applicants must demonstrate significant relevant experience and should indicate a clear motivation for applying for the course on their UCAS statement. Significant experience refers to experience which develops relevant values and skills and applicants’ understanding of social work roles. • Applicants must provide one satisfactory reference on their UCAS form, ideally an academic reference where applicants have been in education within the past three years, otherwise a reference which supports the above statement relating to experience. • Applicants must pass a written test • Applicants must pass an interview. • Applicants must sign a declaration confirming competence in IT. • Candidates who are successful in their written test and interview must complete a Declaration of Suitability form in which they will make declarations in respect to criminal convictions, conduct, health and overseas residency.
